I need to send my deepest condolences to Ken, Doug, Suzie, and Kelly and all the rest of the now growing family of Janice Purkey. This is such a hard time to lose someone so wonderful, talented, beautiful, loving, and wise. This is hard to take even if I have been away so long. I also considered Janice to be like my second mother who has given me so much good and sound advice. She helped me and my wife Virginia with our wedding. She was influential for me to become a doctor to help care for others. I thank you all for sharing your home, your family, your friendship with me especially during the trying teenage years of my life. I miss her and you all so much. It hurts to know I cannot pick up the phone and just talk anymore, I'm sorry I haven't called more often. But I praise our Lord and savior Jesus Christ that I will have a chance to talk with Mom Janice again in heaven after Jesus comes in glory. I remember the time I had just been stung on my right hand by bees that come out of the little house I bought from Suzie and Milton. My hand was swollen up so bad it looked like a baseball glove. Janice made up a charcoal poultice and put it on my hand and in a few hours it shrunk back down to normal. I will always miss and love her kindness, care, and hospitality. I will keep you all in my prayers, and I look forward to see her again when Jesus comes to take us all to our eternal home in heaven. Sincerely, Dr. Darrell Everhart D.C. and family.
