Honoring Veterans

Tradition, honor, and dignity are the hallmarks of a military funeral. No matter which combination of ceremonial elements you choose to include, we'll help you pay the tribute in a way that celebrates their sacrifice, patriotism, and dedication.

We're proud to do our part in honoring our country's veterans, and giving back to those whose sacrifice and patriotism define our great nation. Our duty is to provide you and your family with professional and dignified assistance during your time of need, and to support you in honoring your loved one for their dedication and selfless service. We would be honored to help you make arrangements for any combination of traditional military tributes.

  • The US flag draped over the casket or folded next to the urn
  • The folding and presentation of the US flag to the next of kin
  • Patriot Guard
  • A volley salute fired by a rifle party
  • The playing of Taps by a lone bugler or an audio recording
  • A final Salute at the grave site

Other Veteran Benefits

In addition to coordination honors related to the service itself, we can help you communicate with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to arrange for:

  • Headstones or Markers

The VA provides headstones and markers for the graves of veterans anywhere in the world and for eligible dependents of veterans buried in national, state veteran or military cemeteries

  • Burial in a VA State or National Cemetery

This included the grave site, opening and closing of the grave, a grave liner, and perpetual care

  • Burial Flag

VA provides an American Flag to drape the casket of a veteran or set next to his/her urn. After the funeral service, the flag will be given to the next of kin. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home will complete the flag application forms and procure the flag for you.
