Obituary of Deana Hundley

Deana Kay Hundley, 73, of Moberly, MO passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at Moberly Regional Medical Center with her son and daughter at her side. 

 

Deana was born on October 14, 1947 in Moberly, MO to Max Dean Turner and Virginia Jenkins Turner and was raised by her maternal grandparents, Russell and Ruby Jenkins.  She was a graduate of Moberly High School and obtained an Associate’s Degree from Moberly Area Junior College.  Deana worked as a Sales Manager for Third Century in Moberly, which became Chase Manhattan. In 1993 she moved to Kansas City where she worked for Gateway, Arrow Leasing and then for Quest Diagnostics before her retirement, after which she relocated to Moberly in 2018 to be close to family.

 

Deana enjoyed shopping, collecting frogs, doing ceramics and more recently, crocheting.  She liked watching movies, particularly horror and action flicks and she watched the Ten Commandments every year. Deana also enjoyed eating out and she loved to travel, especially to locations with beaches.  Her favorite trip was when she took her grandchildren to Sanibel Island in Florida.

 

Deana is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Claudette Diana Turner and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Survivors include her children, Dawn (Jeff) Brand and Shawn (Genie) Davidson all of Moberly; grandchildren, Nick (Brooke) Davidson of Moberly, Lexie Brand of Columbia and Jack Davidson of Moberly; extended family and friends.

 

A gathering for friends and family has been scheduled for Friday, September 10, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service beginning at 6:00 p.m.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

 

Memorial contributions in Deana’s honor are suggested to the National Psoriasis Foundation for Psoriatic Arthritis research, 6600 SW 92nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97223-7195.
