Obituary of Joan Davis
Joan Diane Davis, 76, of Huntsville, MO passed away quietly on August 10, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, being born on December 30, 1944 in Sturgeon, MO to James Davis and Julia (Ginn) Davis. Joan attended Lincoln Elementary and was a member of Timmons Temple Church of God and Christ.
She enjoyed latch hooking, working word search puzzles and dancing, especially to Michael Jackson. Joan also had a passion for taking photos of her family, particularly the little ones. She always loved spending time with all little kids but especially with her grandchildren.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Julia Davis; her Aunt Emma and her grandma, Margaret Ginn.
Her legacy is passed on by her children, Cooke (John) Clark of De Soto and Corey (Heather) Davis of Huntsville; grandchildren, Ethan Clark of De Soto, Courtney (Taylor) Schermerhorn, Andrea (Ra Sean) Dysart and David Dale all of Huntsville; great grandchildren, Kynlee Dysart, Emery Schermerhorn and R. J. Dysart all of Huntsville; siblings, Jennie (Floyd) Patrick of Fayette, Jewell Smith of North Kansas City, Jonathon (Kaye) Davis of Huntsville, Joseph (Gayla) Davis of Grandview and James (Judy) Davis of Huntsville; extended family and many good friends.
A homegoing celebration in Joan’s honor has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
