He would make sure to get back in the mornings from driving his routes in time to make sure the girls were up and on time for the school bus…He always said that my 6yr. Old was “the only one of us girls that understood him” He would always try and remind me that “we all have to get old, but no one says you have to grow up.” From the first time I saw him I wasn’t sure what it was but he was different than any man I’d met before. He made me feel like he always had the answers or solution to any problems (which most of the time he did), along with the correct way something was to be done. He loved all of his family and would joke about how big his family was. I honestly don’t think he ever met a stranger. Speaking to anyone about anything (my teenager was always embarrassed when we would be at the store and Jim would fire up a conversation with anyone around) which only encouraged him to do it more. He changed my perspective on life and taught me so many things I will never forget…
