Paul Hull

Obituary of Paul Edward Hull

Paul Edward Hull, 64, of Moberly passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital-Columbia, with family at his side after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Paul was born August 8, 1956 in Mexico, Missouri to George and Ethel Hull. Paul was previously married to Peggy Willhoite. From this union, two sons were born.

Paul lived in rural Holliday the first years of his life. He attended grade school in Paris. His family moved to Moberly when he was a teenager. Paul attended Moberly Junior and Senior High Schools. He did not graduate, but later earned his GED. Paul’s first jobs were at a few restaurants and gas stations in Moberly. In 1979, Paul started work as a concrete truck driver. He continued this career for 38 years until his retirement in 2017. Paul enjoyed spending time with his sons,  family, riding a motorcycle (in younger years) and a scooter (in later years), cruising around Moberly, going to rummage sales, listening to music, and sitting on his front and back porches soaking up the sun. Paul’s life was enriched very much by a friendship with four men that started in his junior high school days and continued to his last day. They truly were ‘Buds for Life.’

Paul is survived by his sons, Jason (Peggy) Hull of Jefferson City and Brandon (Kelly) Hull of Fulton; granddaughters, Haylei (Kyle) Bock and Rylee Osborn of Jefferson City; great grandson, Hudson; brothers, Calvin, Cliff, Phillip, Ken, and Dale all of Moberly; sister, Delma of Brookfield; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe and his, sister Carol.
