Obituary of Christopher Bowers

Chris Shawn Bowers, 44 of Moberly, MO passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 11, 2021.

Chris was born October 13, 1976 in Phoenix, AZ to John Hicks and Judy Prange.

Chris’ family moved to the Moberly area from Phoenix in 1994.  There he graduated from Moberly Senior High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. He served honorably from 1996-1998. In 1998, he wed Jennifer Forgey, and of this union, their two sons Aaron and Nicholas were born.

Chris was a jack of all trades. If he wasn’t fixing something in the house, he was fixing something with the car. He was a real handyman. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Supernatural. He loved helping with Motocross. He was a great uncle, always joking around and making us laugh. He will be deeply missed.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, John Hicks and Judy Prange; and grandmother, Katie Daunhemier.

Survivors include his sons, Aaron and Nicholas Bowers of Moberly, MO; grandson, Tyler Bowers of Moberly, MO; sister, Michelle (Lisa Mitchell) Hicks, of Indianapolis, IN; good friend and mother of his children, Jennifer Bowers of Moberly, MO; niece and nephew, Skylynn Ratiff and Drevon Donnerson of Indianapolis, IN; step-father, Kevin Prange of Moberly, MO; grandfather, Don Daunhemier of Moberly, MO ; aunt and uncle, Jan and Roy Bayer of Illinois; extended family and close friends.

Services celebrating Christopher Shawn Bowers’ life will be held Wednesday January, 27, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.

Chris’ untimely passing has left his family with unexpected expenses. They deeply appreciate everyone’s support during this difficult time.  Any donations are greatly appreciated and all proceeds will go toward funeral costs and final expenses.
