Robert Polson

Obituary of Robert Polson

Robert Christopher Polson, 59, of Moberly, passed away on November 18, 2020 in Marceline.  He was born on April 24, 1961 to Robert Kenneth Polson and Bertha Alice Hopkins Polson in Moberly and was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.

Robert attended Westran High School and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  On November 7, 1986 Robert married Debra Taylor in Moberly and the two just celebrated 34 years together.

Robert worked for A City Truck Sales in Armstrong before becoming self-employed.  He was never afraid of hard work and made his living as a mechanic, hauling items for people and cutting wood.  He enjoyed working with hands and helping people.  When he found free time, Robert liked to work on his own cars.  He was also a collector of toy cars and made a few model cars.  He enjoyed camping and fishing when his health allowed, but mostly…he just loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Christopher Epperly; his brother, James Polson and his sister, Alice Hollon.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Debra Polson of Moberly; his children, Aaron Bloss of Fulton, Sherry Cortes (boyfriend, John Hughes) and Joseph Bloss all of Moberly and Roseann Perkins of Missouri; grandchildren, Karissa Isenhower, Anna Cortes, Takya Wells and Carter Wells all of Moberly; great grandsons, Abel and Leo Lorton both of Moberly; siblings, Kenneth Polson of Columbia, Vinnie Sieburh of Moberly and Daisy Brady of Cairo; extended family and many friends.

Robert’s family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.  His unexpected passing has left his family with unexpected expenses. They deeply appreciate everyone’s support during this difficult time.  Any donations are greatly appreciated and all proceeds will go toward funeral costs and final expenses.  Donations can be made and condolences expressed online at pathwaymemorial.com.
