Van Dell was one of the nicest people I've encountered. He enrolled to work with the MACC Singers every fall and spring semester for the last 4-5 years, and I think I did all his enrollments. He was a great, positive influence on all the students who participated in "Singers", and will be missed very deeply. I am glad he passed in his sleep - he deserved a peaceful exit from this life.
