Obituary of Barbara Jean Gravitt

Barbara Jean Gravitt, 80, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

Barbara was born March 22, 1940 in Prairie Hill, Missouri to Eugene Fletcher and Geneva (Washam) Fletcher.

She lived her whole life in the Randolph County area. Barbara loved kids, so many years she was a babysitter and she also work for Head Start. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to her books. Family meant so much to Barbara; one of her favorite things to do was watch NASCAR and the Hallmark Channel with her children.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Geneva; brother, C.C. Fletcher; infant brother, Raymond Fletcher; infant sister, Anna Christine Fletcher; grandchildren, Jonathan Hutton, Adam Hutton, Sebastian Gravitt, Candi Jo Alger and Bobby Joe Clevenger.

Survivors include siblings, Laura McCutchen of Moberly and Everette (Idella) Fletcher of South Carolina; children, Michael (Sandi) Gravitt, Letha Edwards, Anthony (Tia Graham) Gravitt, Cheryl Gravitt and Sherrie (Dale Hull) Hutton all of Moberly; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Services celebrating Barbara Jean Gravitt’s life will be held at a later date.
