Obituary of Michell Rhea Pangborn
Michell Rhea Pangborn, 52, of Moberly, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 10, 2020 at her home.
Michell was born on October 1, 1967 in Columbia, Missouri to Cheryl Lynn Stanfield Pangborn and Jerald Pangborn.
She attended Moberly Area Community College, where she took classes from 1999-2000. She graduated from MACC’s GED Program, with a certificate in Office Clerical Assistance. In 2009, she moved to Fayette, Missouri and accepted a position as a Deli Manager at C&R Market, where she worked for over 5 years.
Michell was very devoted to her four grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook, who always emphasized the importance of family and traditions.
In her free time she also enjoyed reading, tending to her house plants and she loved being in the company of her dog, Baby Doll. Her family will always remember her unwavering dedication to her family and friends, her cooking and her witty attitude.
Michell is preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl (Stanfield) Houston of Columbia, Missouri and her grandmother, Floy K. (Still) Stanfield of Moberly, Missouri.
Survivors include her sister, Tammy Collet of Columbia, Missouri; niece, Ashlee Collet of Columbia, Missouri; children, Christopher Pangborn-Smith of Centralia, Missouri and Jessica Pangborn of Moberly, Missouri; four grandchildren, Aidan, Quentin, Rae-Lynn and Gavin Heifner of Moberly, Missouri; lifelong friend, Johnnie Esry of Ohio; extended family and close friends.
Services celebrating Michell Pangborn’s life will be held at a later date.
Michell’s unexpected passing has left her family with unexpected expenses. They deeply appreciate everyone’s support during this difficult time. Any donations are greatly appreciated and all proceeds will go toward funeral costs and final expenses.
