Barbara Cordova

Obituary of Barbara Cordova

Barbara Jean Garrison, 74, of Moberly, MO, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

She was born November 25, 1945 in Sturgeon, MO to Gene and Helen (Millard) Garrison.

Barbara was a lifelong resident of the Randolph County area, moving away only briefly to Fairfield, IA. In the 70’s she attended art school, and owned her own floral shop. She had a love for crafting, always changing and decorating her home in new ways. She had a big heart, she attended a variety of Baptist churches in the area and was always one to donate and volunteer towards local support groups, like Boys town; she was also very patriotic and loved giving to various veterans’ organizations. In her free time, Barbara loved watching tv, specifically Survivor. There wasn’t an episode that she missed, and on the off chance she couldn’t watch it in person, she was sure to tape it. She also enjoyed watching UFC fights, especially Fedor Emelianenko. If she wasn’t watching a fight, she could be found watching The Home Shopping Network. Barbara was an amazing woman, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Helen; brother, Bobby Garrison and uncle, PeeWee Millard.

Survivors include children, Harley Bill (Susan) Bernand and John (Pam) Bernand both of Moberly; grandchildren, Alex Burton of Moberly, Wendy (Stephen) Wright of Middle Grove, Kelsey (Jason) Mott of Moberly, Cade Bohn of Moberly, TJ (Sydney Herrmann) Lawless of St. Louis and Levi (Katie) Lawless of Payson, IL; great grandchildren, Laney Grace Bernand, Wesson Michael Mott, Harli Madison Mott, Miranda Joy Wright, Samantha Brynn Wright, Michael Allen Bohn, Easton Rhett Lawless and Owen Robert Bryant Lawless; siblings, Becky (Donnie) Canaday of Moberly, Pat McCormick of Warrensburg, Tina Esry of Moberly and Johnny Esry of AZ; beloved dachshund, PeeWee; extended family and close friends.
