Obituary of Pam Bissey

Pamela Sue Bissey, age 61 of Moberly, MO passed from earthly life on November 22, 2019 at her home in rural Moberly.

She was born on December 22, 1957 in Mountain View, MO to Carl Elden Phipps and Joyce Francine Tabor Phipps.  Pam graduated in 1976 from Kirksville High School. 

She was a past member of First Church of God Fellowships in Willow Springs, Kirksville, Columbia and Moberly, MO and Crosspoint Church in Moberly. Pam taught children at Sunday School for over 40 years and was an accompanist on piano and organ whenever needed.

Pam was a devoted wife and mom.  She was employed as a secretary first at Balwins in Kirksville, then at Scholastic Book Fair, the University of Missouri in Columbia, North Park Baptist Church and Carpenter Street Baptist Church both in Moberly. 

She married Ronald Keith Bissey on March 31, 1979 in Kirksville, MO.  On April 20, 1990, Nicole Leah Bissey (born April 6, 1990) was placed into Pam’s loving care.

Pam is survived by her husband, Ron of Moberly; her daughter Nicole, of Kansas City; parents, Carl and Joyce Phipps of Vienna, MO, and brother, James Phipps and wife Dawn of Willow Springs, MO; sister, Anita Phipps, of Rolla, MO; adopted son, James Rice of Kansas City, foster children, Zachary Hemree of Bloomington, IN and Jenifer Van Arsdel of Oceanside, CA; friend and caregiver, Dottie Parker, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Pam’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO.  A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorial contributions in Pam’s honor are appreciated to the family for funeral expenses.  Any contributions in excess of the expenses will be donated to the Interstitial Cystitis Association.
