Robert Forth

Obituary of Robert Forth

Robert “Flash” Steven Forth, 68, of Moberly MO passed away Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at home.

Flash was born November 1, 1950 in Moberly, MO to Robert Charles Forth and Alma Penrod.

He was a lifelong member of the Moberly area, graduating from Moberly Senior High School in 1969; it was here where he was known for his astounding speed in track, earning him the nickname, Flash. He only left Moberly in 1970 to honorably serve his country in the US Army. Upon his return, he began working for the State of Missouri as a Correctional Officer, from which he officially retired in 2012.

Flash loved to be out and about, he was very social and a ‘connoisseur’ at many local establishments. When they were in operation, he could be found out at Timberlake and Moberly Country Club golf courses; he was also known for being an impressive pool player. When Flash wasn’t out, he could be found at home watching his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs or an number of old western movies.

He will be remembered for his quick wit, storytelling abilities and fantastic sense of humor. Flash was always known for his extensive vocabulary, he loved having a special word or phrases for normal everyday items. He was a great man who could brighten up the day of anyone around him; he will be greatly missed.

Robert “Flash” is preceded in death by his parents; brother Danny Carlton Forth; uncles, Francis, Donald and Harold Forth.

Survivors include sons, Lonnie (Megan) Wallace of Cairo, MO, Robert Steven Glydewell of Moberly, MO and Robert Allen (Courtney) Forth of CA; grandchildren, Jasper Dean Wallace, Grainger Allen Wallace and Langston Abbott Wallace all of Cairo, MO, Robert Walter Forth, Trevor Allen Forth, Alivia Vasquez Forth and Ryan Thomas Forth all of California, and MacKenzie Faith Glydewell of Columbia, MO; sister, Carol Ann Harlan of Higbee, MO; extended family and close friends.
