Obituary of Alyssa Rose Hellensmith

Alyssa Rose Hellensmith, 12 weeks, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 14, 2014 with the sun on her face, in the loving arms of her mom and dad and surrounded by her family. Alyssa was born June 21, 2014 in Columbia, MO to Eric and Donnell (Gerry) Hellensmith. During her short time here, she touched the hearts of many and was deeply loved by her family and friends. Preceding her in death are her aunt, Jennifer Hellensmith, three great grandmothers; Ina Burton, Roseana Brandow and Reba Conner; two great grandfathers, Robert Garrett, Jr. and Paul Hellensemith. Those she leaves behind include her parents, her brother Dexter Hellensmith, all of Columbia, Mo, her paternal grandparents, Robert and Kathy Hellensmith, of Moberly, Mo, her maternal grandparents Thomas and Lisa Dickerson of O’Fallon, MO, six great grandparents, one great great grandmother and several aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Alyssa’s life will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. with a short prayer service immediately following visitation. Services will be held at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO.
