Obituary of William Earl Jones

William Earl “Bill” Jones, 95, of Moberly, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home. Bill was born December 11, 1918 in Hindsboro, Illinois to the late Otis Earl and Hattie (West) Jones. He was married to Anna Lorraine (Hickman) Jones and they had two children. Bill lived most of his life in the Moberly area and had a plumbing business for 27 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Harold Jones and Benjamin F. “Frank” Jones, and a great-grandchild. Surviving are his children; Lanny Jones (Marietta), of Warsaw, MO and Carol Kitchen (Melvin) of Huntsville, MO; sister Peggy “Ernestine” Curtright of Kansas City; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Friday October 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. The family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
