Obituary of John Stanley Pollard

John Stanley Pollard, 56, of Moberly, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 24, 1957 to Stanley and Shirley (Jones) Pollard in St. Louis, Missouri. John graduated from Lindberg High School in St. Louis, MO and attended UALR in Little Rock, AR. He relocated to Moberly 12 years ago and in June of 2002 he married Aleta “Jean” Colley. John enjoyed running and was an avid reader. He could play a wide variety of musical instruments and was very creative. John wrote and produced commercials for the Zimmer Broadcast Group and won an Addy Award for his work. For the past 8 years he worked in the trucking industry and was a team driver with his wife. Preceding John in death are his parents and his in-laws, Orville and Vera Colley. Those he leaves behind include his wife Jean of Moberly, MO; his sister, Linda (Scott) Burcham of St. Louis, MO; his beloved children, Melissa Colley of Moberly, MO, Carson (Kjersti) Pollard, Mindy Pollard (Seth Swenson) and Mallory (Ryan) Conner all of Lincoln NE; and three very special grandchildren. Services celebrating John’s life will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly, MO. Visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial Contributions are appreciated to the Family of John S.
