Obituary of Charles Lee Warren

Charles Lee Warren, 61, of Cairo passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. Charlie was born on January 4, 1958 in Cairo, MO to Charles Basil Warren and Donna Lou “Newkirk” Warren. He was a lifelong resident of Cairo who worked as a heavy equipment operator for Nemo Coal and later as a mechanic for AECI. Charles was a collector of die cast toy tractors. He enjoyed fixing tractors and lawn mowers and competing in truck pulls. Friends would frequently stop by his shop and spend time chatting around the wood stove. His family fondly remembers spending many a 4th of July camping at Thomas Hill. Charlie will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his children, Cheryl (Jeremy) Swallow of Macon, Melissa (Matthew) Pearce of Macon and Jamie Warren of Moberly; grandchildren, Lakota Martin, Audrey Pearce, Jakeb Swallow, Kadence Swallow and McKenna Swallow all of Macon; siblings, Donna Charlene (Dennis) Barron of Jacksonville, Danny Ray (Helen) Warren of Woodville, Juanita (Mike) Mason of Fayette, Mark (Christy) Warren of Huntsville, April (Ray) Criddle of Colorado, Lugene (Tiffany) Warren of Huntsville, Rose Anna (Dan) Reynolds of Huntsville, David (Myra) Warren of Cairo and John (Christi) Warren of Moberly; extended family and close friends. Services celebrating Charles life will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly followed by interment at Woodville Cemetery, east of Excello. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
