Obituary of Jerry Lee Hill
Jerry Lee Hill, 67, of Huntsville, passed away at his home January 15, 2015. Jerry was born February 7, 1947 in Huntsville, MO to Stanley Edgar Hill Sr. and Vaunita Wright Hill.
He was a lifelong resident of Huntsville where he worked as a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad and also raised cattle and was a logger. He was a member of NARVRE and attended the First Baptist Church of Huntsville. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football and keeping his farm beautiful.
On May 9, 2013, he was united in marriage to Linda Lou Myers-Franklin at the First Baptist Church in Huntsville and she survives of the home.
Those preceding him in death are his parents and his first wife, Kathy Becker Hill, a sister, Joyce Long and a brother, Stanley Hill Jr.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by his children Brian Hill (Beverly) of Lacygne, Kansas and Melanie Foster of Moberly; stepsons Robert (Melia) Franklin of Jefferson City and William (Tina) Franklin of Independence; grandchildren, Ashley Saphian (Matt) of Fredericktown, MO, Justin Foster (Janelle), Alicia Bishop (Dickie), Jessica Herrin (Brian), Travis Hill and Breanne Goble (Jared) all of Moberly; Cody Hill of Centralia; step-grandchildren Jacob Franklin of Jefferson City, Melissa Munson (Matthew) Trenton, NJ, Elizabeth Franklin of Jefferson City, Ariel Franklin and Kylie Franklin both of Lees Summit; great-grandchildren, Austin Saphian and Kiersten Saphian both of Frederickstown, MO, Aden Foster and Brent Foster of Moberly, Kylie Hill of Centralia, Kensley Goble and Ariel Herrin of Moberly, extended family and many, many friends.
Services for Jerry will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Huntsville, MO at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
