Obituary of Tobey Lynn Miller
Tobey Lynn Miller, 42 of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at her uncle’s home in Moberly.
She was born on September 16, 1976 in Moberly, MO to James Burke and Bonnie “White” Burke (now George). Tobey was a graduate of Madison High School and member of the Christian faith.
Tobey was a hard worker who had a heart of gold. She was always more than willing to lend a helping hand and never left until all the work was done. Tobey never met a stranger, which made her so good at her job in hospitality. For the past 3 years she worked in hospitality in Branson; having recently started work for a deli in Jefferson City.
Tobey enjoyed baking, spending time with her family, attending church and reading her Bible. More than anything else she loved being a mom and devoted her time to her children.
Those preceding Tobey in death are her maternal and paternal grandfathers.
Survivors include her life partner, Brian McCarty of Jefferson City; her beloved children, Codey Hendren of Centralia, Brandon Miller of Alaska, Joshua Miller of Republic, Zachary McCarty and Kyle McCarty both of Jefferson City; her parents, Bonnie and Paul George of Moberly and James Burke also of Moberly; brother, Anthony Williams of Moberly; her maternal and paternal grandmothers; extended family and many close friends.
Services celebrating Tobey’s life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
