Obituary of Priscilla Kay Potter
Priscilla Potter was called home to her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2015.
Priscilla Kay Chloupek was born May 5, 1940 in Randolph County Missouri to Anton Edward Chloupek and Margaret May (Hentges) Chloupek. She graduated from Westran High School in 1958 and went to work at McGraw Edison in Moberly, where she worked until the facility closed. Priscilla was later employed at Dana Corporation in Columbia, until the time of her retirement.
Priscilla loved people and took great enjoyment from visiting with friends and family. Priscilla was especially fond of young people and enjoyed spending time with them. She touched the lives of many, by providing an encouraging word or a listening ear. To that end, many friends referred to her as “Grandma” and considered Priscilla to be part of their own family.
Priscilla enjoyed dancing, traveling, working outside in the yard and tending to her flowers and bird feeders. She enjoyed going to games and watching her son and her grandchildren compete in various sports activities. Later in life, Priscilla joined the Huntsville United Methodist Church and actively participated when her health permitted.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Anton Chloupek and Jimmy Hill. She is survived by her son Richard and Kathy Potter, grandchildren; Chelsea Cerveny, Bryanna Cerveny, Aaron and Erica Trusty, Jessica and Andre Gross and great grandchildren; Braelyn, Ariyonna and Drake Gross, nephews, great nephews and nieces.
