Obituary of Roy E. Nickerson

Roy Edward Nickerson, 63, of Madison, passed away June 19, 2015 at Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly. He was born to Charles and Alice Lingo Nickerson in Chariton County on September 15, 1958 and lived in Randolph County for the majority of his life. He enjoyed driving trucks and “junking”, finding used vehicles and parting them out for salvage. Roy loved his children and grandchildren. His two dogs, Little Bit and Max occupied a special place in his heart. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those preceding Roy in death are his parents; a brother, a sister, a stepson, several nephews, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law. He is survived by his wife Kay; siblings Joyce Schwartze of Keytesville, Ronnie Nickerson (Kathy), Phyllis Nickerson, Diana Heaston (Darrin), Billy Nickerson, Tony Nickerson, Brenda Bunch (Kevin) all of Moberly, and Debbie Willis (Terry) of Huntsville; children Stephen Nickerson, Tennesse, Alisa Nickerson of Moberly, Jason Nickerson of Hallsville, Alison Nickerson of Chilicothe, and Bobbie Jo Berrey (Larry) of Paris; ten grandchildren and one great- grandchild, extended family and friends. A memorial graveside service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
