Obituary of Edward W. Miller
Edward “Eddie” W. Miller, 84, passed away June 4, 2016 in Columbia, MO. He was born August 17, 1931 to Ivan Miller and Jesse Hannah Evans Miller and spent most of his life in the Randolph county area. Eddie was a graduate of the Huntsville class of 1949 and a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church. He joined the Navy out of high school and served from 1949 to 1953. On March 20, 1954 he married Violet Allen in Huntsville, MO and they shared 50 years together. He worked as a conductor for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad until retirement. Eddie enjoyed playing golf, fishing, archery, woodcarving and gardening. He was also a member of the Huntsville Masonic Lodge #30.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, Violet Miller and his daughter, Charlotte Miller.
Survivors include his children, Sharon (George Wayne) Wisdom of New London, MO and Paula (Nicholas) Holzinger, of Moberly, Mo; grandchildren Kathleen (Corey) Tucker of Bloomsberg, PA and Dustin (Erika) Holzinger of Moberly, Mo.
Services celebrating Eddie’s life will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 2:45 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at which time there will be a Masonic service prior to the funeral service. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Huntsville City Cemetery in Huntsville, MO.
