Obituary of Ricky Allen Bailey

Ricky Allen Bailey, 58, of Moberly, passed away February 3, 2017 at Valley View Nursing Home. He was born in Randolph County to John Grover Bailey and Bonnie Woods Bailey on September 29, 1958. Ricky was a lifelong resident of the Moberly area and attended Immanuel Baptist Church in his youth. He loved hunting, fishing and barbecues in the park. Ricky loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a very kind and gentle soul but he did have an ornery streak and was good at getting the kids “wound up”! He especially enjoyed being outdoors and cutting wood and was generous in donating it to his family. His brothers and sisters said he was the best brother anyone could have. Those who have preceded Ricky in death include his parents, his son Clifton and infant brother Michael. He is survived by the love of his life Brenda Gwinner; children, Vada (Donnie) Burton Sr., Travis Bailey, Natasha Norris, James (Stephanie) Reed and Dustin Reed all of Moberly; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two more on the way; siblings, Paula (Anthony) Leake, Gary (Anita) Bailey, all of Moberly, Randy Bailey of St. Louis and Michelle (Richard) Ornburn of Renick; numerous beloved nieces, nephews and many friends. Services for Ricky will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
