Obituary of Margaret Louise Huff
Margaret Louise Huff, 71, of Higbee, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
Peggy was born on December 31, 1945 in Marshall, MO to Russell and Margaret Cromley Claggett. She was a lifelong resident of Higbee, Mo and graduated from Higbee High School in 1964. Peggy worked for Midwest Linen for over 40 years.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Peggy always had a very positive attitude and never met a stranger.
On February 20, 1965, she married Charles Huff in Marshall, MO. She was an avid Cardinal’s fan and enjoyed watching Mizzou Tiger basketball. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. Family and friends remember her as a very strong, caring, loving and kind hearted person. She always saw the very best in everyone.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Margaret Claggett and her beloved daughter, Rosa Huff.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Huff of Higbee; her son, Michael and Renee Huff of Moberly; grandchildren, Christina, Kayla and Joseph Huff all of Moberly; two brothers, Russell Claggett of Huntsville and James and Barbara Claggett of Marshall; six sisters-in-law, Maxine Combs of Marshall, Mary Riley of Springfield, Janice Arth of Marshall, Joyce and David Sitzes of Marshall, Kathy Derboven of Moberly and Shirley Huff of Marshall; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Services celebrating Peggy’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
