Obituary of Billy Kent Bugg
Billy Kent Bugg, 86, of Moberly, MO passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Northboro, Iowa on October 17, 1931 to Herschel Bugg and Minnie Blanche Fisher. Billy was a graduate of Northboro High School. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. On December 24, 1952, he married Shirley “LaMyrne” Belzer in Yuma, AZ. In 1953 they relocated to Moberly. Billy owned several well-known businesses during his lifetime; Bugg Construction, A-1 Radiator Service in Macon and Moberly and Magic City Motors in both Macon and Moberly. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses and he was a wonderful musician. He played both the guitar and fiddle and sang in several bands. Billy loved spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed.
Those preceding Billy in death are his parents; his beloved wife and his brother, Wilbur Bugg.
Survivors include his children, Pamela Schieve and David (Ellie) Bugg all of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Angela Kroner of El Dorado, MO, Derek (Tiffany) Bugg and Dillon (Chasity) Bugg all of Moberly, MO; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Patsy and Frank Withrow of Macon, MO, Eldon Bugg of Boonville, MO and Dickie and Donna Bugg of Washington State; extended family and close friends.
Memorial services celebrating Billy’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
