Obituary of Ethlyn Jo Sharp

Ethlyn Jo Sharp, 86, of Moberly, MO, passed away at her home December 24, 2017. She was born in Fayette, MO to Joseph Mason and Virgie Grapes Mason. She married Raymond Eugene Sharp Sr. on May 27, 1950 in Fayette and he preceded her in death. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone where she worked for 35 years, first as an operator and then in the business office. Ethlyn enjoyed growing flowers and traveling. Those preceding her in death are her parents, her husband and a sister, Ina Jeanette Mason. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Sharp Jr. (Susan) of Moberly, and Randy Sharp (Jennifer) of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Jean Drane (Wallace) of Columbia, MO; extended family and friends. Services celebrating Ethlyn’s life will be held at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home, Thursday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Heritage Baptist Church, 1422 E. McKinsey Street, Moberly, MO 65270.
